Don't even look at a design until you've done this. The most important thing when we're looking at house and land is how does the house fit on the land and how can we utilise that space to get the best result?
I'll show you what I mean, come check it out. What we've been able to do is take this house design, push it right to the front, to the front setback, build it out to the left-hand side, build it out to the right-hand side, built to boundary with the garage, giving us about a metre of space down this left-hand side.
On this other side here, we've got a metre running down the side. That's gonna create the space here in the backyard. Even though this isn't a massive lot by traditional standards, being a 350 square metre space, it gives us around seven and a half metres from our back, alfresco area to the back fence, which means that kids still get a bit of backyard space and you've got a bit of entertainment space for yourselves.
